Techno Drop Lab

Take something away. Build the tension. Bring it back.

Why the drop starts before the drop

A fuller section feels different after a sparse one. In this lab you shape four bars of breakdown, four bars of build and eight bars of drop using the same curated Techno stems.

The whole idea is 16 bars at 132 BPM, roughly 29 seconds. It is a small arrangement experiment, not an entire song or an AI generation. Changes in texture, filtering and silence create the contrast.

Make a small number of meaningful choices

Choose what remains in the breakdown, how the build develops and whether there is a gap before the drop. Listen to the result, change one choice, then compare. An unexpected choice is allowed: there is no single correct techno arrangement.

The parts are pre-made TunePal stems. Their tempo and key stay fixed in this lab, so the interaction can stay focused on the musical transformation. Making new source material belongs in the separate TunePal app.

Keep the result you hear

The lab prepares the performance in your browser. The WAV download uses the same rendered audio as playback, so it preserves the chosen breakdown, build, gap and drop.

Keep your file, share the settings link or try another version. Opening TunePal starts a separate app session; it does not automatically import the lab arrangement. You can use the exported audio as a reference in your music software.

Common questions

How long is the techno drop?

It has 16 four-beat bars at 132 BPM: four breakdown bars, four build bars and eight drop bars, about 29.1 seconds in total.

Is the lab generating new music?

No. It arranges and processes curated, pre-made TunePal stems in your browser without spending generation credits.

Does the WAV contain my changes?

Yes. Playback and WAV export use the same rendered performance. The file is an audio mix, not a MIDI arrangement or separate editable stems.
