Rebuild three drum parts by ear

Play the target drum loop. Choose an instrument and tap the positions where you think its hits happen. Hear your version, compare it with the target, and check when you are ready. There is no countdown, and replaying does not cost anything.

Each pattern has kick, snare or clap, and hats across sixteen positions in one four-beat bar. The editor shows one instrument at a time so every step stays large enough to tap on a phone. The small overview shows how the three parts line up.

Feedback that helps you hear the difference

Check compares your on/off positions with a fixed target. Feedback describes missing or extra hits in each part. It does not judge whether a different creative beat sounds good, assess your hearing, or compare you with other players.

Use slower listening or a selected-part hint when useful. Hints and revealing the whole target are optional help, and the game labels them that way. The six curated challenges are a finite collection you can replay, rather than a promise of new daily puzzles.

A listening game that leads somewhere

After matching or revealing the pattern, open it in the Beat Maker. That link carries the disclosed pattern, kit, tempo and swing into the editor. You can keep the reference, make a different beat, then download MIDI or WAV there.

The game and tool use the same drum samples and timing model, so a target does not change sound when you open it in the editor. The separate TunePal app is for making new stems; these links do not create an app project or transfer the beat into your account.

Common questions

Do I need to get every hit right to continue?

No. After hearing the reference, you can replay it or use a lane hint. Reveal the reference to continue without matching every hit, then try the next challenge. A reveal is labelled as assisted.

Is a different rhythm a wrong musical choice?

No. A check only asks whether your hits match this specific reference. It does not grade your taste, timing ability or general musical skill.

Can I save the beat I rebuilt?

After matching or revealing the reference, open its pattern in the free Beat Maker. It restores those steps without autoplay. Edit the beat there, then download MIDI or WAV or copy a pattern link without signup.
